Spun Intended Fiber Arts is a small yarn and fiber shop in Canterbury Village, built for people who like making things with their hands.
We carry yarn, tools, notions, handmade goods, local fiber when we can get it, and supplies for knitting, crochet, weaving, spinning, embroidery, and whatever other rabbit hole you’ve fallen down lately. The goal is to have the useful basics, the weird little treasures that whisper of their potential. Even if you don’t have a project in mind, sometimes the materials inspire new realms to explore!
We are especially interested in older fiber traditions: spinning, weaving, mending, lace, tatting, nålbinding, natural dyeing, paper making, etc. The value of living history is impossible to quantify. If you want to learn a dying art (or a dye-ing art!), we can dig in together! If you already know a dying/dyeing art, let me know, I’d love to learn!
Whether you’re brand new, getting back into it, or already buried under three unfinished projects and pretending that’s normal, you’re welcome here. Spun Intended is for the curious, the crafty, the practical, the obsessive, and anyone who understands that yarn is not clutter. It’s art.
